Ankr Further Decentralizes Our Protocol
As Ankr continues to decentralize our infrastructure and diversify node providers, our partnership with Pocket is a move to solidify our shift to serve Web3 as a more collaborative protocol versus a centralized company. Ankr Protocol will also become even more distributed as Pocket nodes are in diverse locations globally, giving users anywhere the lowest latency connections possible.
Pocket Network Serves More Traffic Than Ever
Ankr Protocol serves a hefty volume of blockchain requests coming from developers and dApps around the world with an average of 6 billion per day across 15+ chains. Pocket’s nodes are now serving blockchain requests coming through our protocol to both the IoTeX and Harmony chains. The more traffic that Pocket Network serves, the better it is for their native token, POKT. This gives a big boost to their economy of developers, token holders, and node providers.
Developers Using Pocket & Ankr Get Even Better RPC Services
Regardless of which service developers are using (or a combination of both), they will receive a more decentralized, more reliable, and faster connection when making RPC requests to supported blockchains. This also applies to all of the existing dApps and open-source software that use Ankr Protocol to connect to all major PoS networks.

Last week, Ankr also attended Pocket’s inaugural Infracon event. Ankr’s Head of Product, Josh Neuroth gave talks, workshopped, and added our visionary thinking to shape the future of decentralized Web3 infrastructure. As Ankr decentralizes with Ankr Protocol, we are steering ourselves to align with the truest ethos of Web3. The movement is all about collaboration and community involvement (more coming on that very soon), and Ankr shares Pocket’s belief that unless dApps are communicating with decentralized infrastructure, they are just Web2 apps with extra steps.
