Just a quick update on yesterday post.

The American Reserve Modernization Act of 2026 (H.R. 8957) passed the US House Committee on Financial Services in a 28-21 vote.

The bill would establish a Bitcoin Strategic Reserve and a separate Digital Asset Stockpile. The Bitcoin and digital assets would be held by the Department of the Treasury. Where any federally acquired Bitcoin or other digital assets, through criminal or civil forfeiture, are held for 20 years.

Up and onwards

The bill still needs to pass the full house and  senate before going full circle and ending up back on Trumps desk.

Note: The US government holds 324,527 Bitcoin.
