Zephyr Protocol (ZEPH) is in the “My Portfolio”. ZEPH is the only token or coin we did not sell in 2025. That was not by design or planning. At the time it just got put in the too hard basket.
Buy High

ZEPH was a Crypto is Easy recommendation from September 2024. One of five altcoin recommendations we bought with the proceeds from selling the last of our ETH. When ETH had nearly but not quite made a new ATH in early 2024.
We were using MexC at the time, as they listed all five of the altcoins.
Sell Low
We missed the 2024 mini alt season, as was too occupied. Attention was elsewhere. We did get a second, third and fourth bite of the BTC cherry.
Not so lucky with the alts, when we sold the alts in March-April 2025. It was not a strategic decision, just a matter of clearing the deck.
Zephyr Protocol
- over-collateralized, crypto-backed stablecoin protocol
- privacy-focused cryptocurrency forked from Monero codebase
- inheriting the Monero core cryptographic privacy features such as RingCT, stealth addresses, and Ring signatures to ensure untraceable transactions
- utilizes Monero’s RandomX Proof-of-Work mining algorithm
- introduced 4 asset ecosystem centered on an over-collateralized stablecoin inspired by the Djed protocol
ZEPH
- base native coin
- mined via Proof-of-Work
- serves as the collateral for the system
ZSD
- Zephyr Stable Dollar
- decentralized, privacy-preserving stablecoin
- pegged to USD
- minted by depositing ZEPH
ZRS
- Zephyr Reserve Shares
- reserve asset
- absorbs volatility
- backs the USD peg
- earns a portion of the block rewards
ZYS
- Zephyr Yield Share
- yield asset generated by staking ZSD
- funded by % of mining emissions
We moved the ZEPH from MexC to the Zephyr Protocol Web Wallet. As not being, as @MarkHelfman pointed out, a “technologically savvy user”. Did try the GitHub route but got stuck on the first or second instruction. Had no clue what they were talking about. Crypto can be so damn confusing, daunting and bewildering all at the same time.

Possible Solutions
Have used Monero wallets and it often tooks hours (lots of them) for the wallet to sync.
- wallet not syncing
- could be the wrong Daemon
- find out WTF a Daemon is
- find some one technically savvy
- learn how to download full wallet from GitHub
Privacy Coins are now trendy
Maybe it was divine intervention from the Crypto Gods, not wanting us to Sell Low after all.
