The electronic musician TrippyB3ats debuted on May 9th, 2022 with their first EP titled Hieratic Passe. It's 5 fun songs and I thought I would do a song by song review with an overall score for the EP. I'm also thinking of making this a series and will be rating all of their releases, as well as releases from other artists.

Without further ado, here is the song by song breakdown for Hieratic Passe:

1. Intensive Summer - 10/10

Intensive Summer is such an excellent opener for both the EP, as well as for a first time listener of TrippyB3ats! Listen for yourself here!

2. Glances Devious - 8/10

This one has a bit of a slow start but really builds into something very satisfying. I also love the bass in this one! Listen for yourself here!

3. Hatred Run Afoul - 6/10

The EP may only be 5 songs but I feel like it was one too many. This one just feels repetitive and forgettable, and honestly could have been trimmed from the release. Listen for yourself here!

4. Hieratic Passe - 7/10

Despite being the title track, it's nothing to write home about. I think the EP as a whole is pretty good and has some wonderful beats, but this one isn't the best. Listen for yourself here!

5. Last Night of the Parade - 9/10

An excellent close to this release! I love the rain effect in this one, it really sets the mood, and the beat is also really solid. Listen for yourself here!

Overall, I would give this EP an 8.0/10. It's got some really solid and memorable tracks in Intensive Summer and Last Night of the Parade, but some fat could have been trimmed from this one (Hatred Run Afoul).
