In the past five years, the Internet has become highly centralized. Although the very idea of its creation was free. Be it freedom of choice, freedom of speech, religion, our various civil rights. And just a year ago, being in the center of the global lockdown, in forced self-isolation, we became more dependent on information technologies – the Internet and social networks than ever before. Because we had no other types of communications left by that time.
So, our good old, first Internet (Web1.0), what did he give to the world? He gave the right to vote to at least a third of the world's population. And this, in turn, led to the development of interpersonal communications, the education sector is very harmoniously integrated into the process of online learning, and business has received a new round in its development. New professions have appeared that are completely focused on the Internet and the development of social networks. And this is progress that does not stand still and which has given us such a beautiful and amazing new world.
Only these same freedoms have led to the fact that the Internet has become increasingly flooded with prohibited materials, for which criminal liability comes in any country in the world. And as a result, the centralization of the Internet and social networks began. No. Of course, it's not just that. Over time, a monopoly of several Internet corporations has formed, which now set the rules of the game. And that's just business. Nothing personal. And it's pretty hard to argue. Coming to visit, we obey the rules that are established in the house. At work, we also live by the standards of the company. And here, going into social networks, we seem to have to behave in accordance with established norms and requirements. But initially the Internet was conceived as free, where we can defend our point of view, where we will have a choice. And now we are limited in this choice. And to be more precise, we were deprived of a choice. And we have come to deep centralization.
In addition, we also pay for this lack of choice. We pay with our personal data, with a part of our life, we pay with the same freedom of speech and freedom of choice, which are already online and do not belong to us. These same Internet corporations that own the World Wide Web, they collect information about us, a dossier, our digital avatar, has been collected and stored for each of us. And they can dispose of this information in any way they like - sell it, make it public, impose targeted advertising on us. Make it so that we will think that we make any choice ourselves, but in fact we are led to it and forced to accept it. We find ourselves in an information bubble from which it is almost impossible to get out. We are being controlled and manipulated.
What we can do? How can we return our amazing and beautiful world? How do we get our data back? How to make sure that we are not manipulated, and that we are free from the misinformation that floods social networks? And here the answer is simple. Let's remember history. All answers are already there.
We need a decentralized internet, we need a decentralized social network. Where all the data will belong only to ourselves. No one will be able to hack our personal page and steal our data. Solcial is a network that is built on the openness of presenting any information. Where there will be no censorship. And where can we earn. It is not the platform that will earn money on us and become more and more enriched and increase its significance, but we, as part of the community, will receive remuneration for our work and develop this network.
