Today we will talk about how Exorde can help in the process of teaching the humanities, and in particular history. This conversation is based on an interview with the history teacher of school No. 854 Alexander Ojo.

So, in his interview, Alexander says that the textbook has ceased to be the ultimate truth, and this is especially applicable to history. It is unlikely that guys who study algebra from a textbook will search the Internet for how to solve a quadratic equation if they already have a textbook. But in the humanities, the textbook and what is not in it plays a very important role.

The textbook has always been the main teaching tool. Previously, the teacher could not move away from the textbook and organize the lesson completely on his own: there was no technical equipment and time to compensate for the lack of available sources. Now we have, for example, MES and NES (“Moscow Electronic School” and “Russian Electronic School”), where several textbooks and applications, materials of various kinds on the same topic are presented at once. Even in the office there are several reading books, and it is not difficult to copy the desired page and distribute it to the children.

However, it is better to stay in one textbook but check the facts. In a good way, they should be the same everywhere, but the question is to the consequences, judgments and conclusions

Now there are textbooks where they give fragments of sources, as it were, from two sides. If we go through the Civil War, the textbook contains excerpts from the documents of the Reds and Whites. It is important that there are tasks in the classroom and at home that encourage children to use not only the textbook, but also other sources, sites, and archives that are not related to it.

The main thing is not to limit the guys by building a certain circle of sources. You need to build tasks in such a way that they personally come to the right materials.

What is a "correct source"? Academic articles and paper literature. However, schoolchildren will certainly use Tiktok, YouTube and Wikipedia much more often. And there is no getting away from this. But then it is already necessary to follow links on such resources in order to check where this or that fact came from in the video or article. Any information from such short and mostly entertaining videos needs to be verified. After all, focusing on evidence, students gain invaluable experience of independent analysis, critical thinking, learn to draw conclusions and form their own view of what is happening.

So, let me remind you that the ecosystem called Exorde is built around a basic platform that provides objective assessments of trust in information based on the community and the artificial intelligence module. The idea of the project is to track the spread of information across the entire Internet network in real time. The goal of the project is to find the source of viral information in its original form, before this information becomes viral.
