Engagement" has to do with "commitment" but in the world of social media, engagement symbolizes the long term relationship with our users.
For example on Facebook you are a potential customer of Adidas, just by the fact that you are browsing their fanpage, because maybe few days later you may be their sneakers on Amazon or in their store. Then you become a real customer, after you make a purchase.
A simple definition of engagement might be - the ability of a brand to engage the audience and create a long term commitment.
What does engagement mean on Uptrennd?
You start your journey on Uptrennd, where you get paid for upvotes coming from users. But how?
1) You create a post, if any Uptrenndian likes it, you get an upvote from him/her. Some of them, they even donate you a good deal of points, if it is a high quality post. If I don’t publish a post and I am in the supermarket, outlet – because we buy sometimes shoes (Lol) or we get stuck in the traffic, I visit the following: all notifications or points history or I check the feeds clicking on the bell which is located almost on the left of your profile picture, and you see clearly who upvoted you (what post, what comment) , all the points you got from that person, also the time and your balance.
Upvoting back is basically saying THANK YOU. So if I see for example that St3v3 upvoted me, I visit St3v3’s profile, read his posts and upvote him back. If I can’t see all of his articles because I am running out of time , below the same article there is a comment section, where you can also upvote his comment too. So St3v3 gets points back for all your upvotes. You can do it 3 times with the same user per day, no more than that. But you can continue the following day. What does St3v3 do? He upvotes you back few minutes or hours later.
2) People often make comments on your post. What are you supposed to do? Upvote them and answer them. In many occasions the same person, responds you and upvotes you back. So it’s a pretty good deal.

3) If you like reading what others are doing or you are a fan of Bitcoin community, upvote them and comment them.
4) If you see that certain user produces high quality posts or the post of area of your interest, or that uptrenndian is very kind to you and upvotes you every day, the best thing you can do is follow him/her.
If you do these engagement technique on daily basis, you use to get more and more upvotes for your articles and also get more followers. You can also visit the followers’ section and support them too by upvoting them or making them comments.
5) Participate on Telegram, Twitter, rain drops; it’s a good way how to meet more your fellow uptrenndians. For example today’s raindrop was a very hot session, and most of us got a lot of XP points. Also if there is a question, inquiry in the group, and you have the answer – you can provide it and people will appreciate it.
6) There is nothing that makes me happier than seeing the fast and great advance of many uptrenndians. For example I saw a lot of people in level 1 few weeks ago, and some of them are now in level 3, 4 or even 10. That is a good news for all of us because that’s the sign that all the engagement here works pretty fine. You can also see it on Leaderboard section, every week people are getting more and more points.
7) All this engagement is also promoted by a great effort of Uptrennd’s team. In many occasions you see that the early upvotes come from Elena, Romana, Luke, Nathan and others. Let me congratulate them because they are doing an awesome job. I’ve tried other social media, and getting points and advance through those systems is much harder, here on Uptrennd it’s another story – it’s much easier.
So as you can see, working as a team, supporting each other, creating our posts and doing all the engagement part is a win-win relationship for everybody on Uptrennd. It makes you feel happy, appreciated, motivated on your path, plus you are learning every day something new.
