One of the biggest fights by authorities has been to regulate Cryptocurrency. It can be seen even currently with the SEC's attempt to see the Financial account of Telegram for its Coin offering. The want to regulate Cryptocurrency so that they can have a level of control over it and how it is run.
I am totally opposed to the idea of Cryptocurrency being regulated. Blockchain and Cryptocurrency was created to be decentralised and devoid of a central controlling system who has absolute power or the final say. And if Cryptocurrency is regulated, the authorities would have powers that they were not meant to have from the inception of Cryptocurrency. When there is a change Governments try to control what they do not understand and cannot fully fathom and that's the same thing they want to do with Cryptocurrency. I personally hate it and i am against it and I'm sure no real Crypto enthusiast would support regulations by authorities and the government. But then as Crypto seeks for widespread global adoption they will get more and more brush-ins with Governments and Vario authorities.

But then share your thoughts, do you think Crypto should be regulated or not?
