Where is my ETH?
So, you accidentally sent Binance peg ETH to your Metamask wallet and now you wonder where is your crypto!
Fear not, there are a million tutorials online, yet there is not a single one that simplifies how to find your tokens, this is what I hope to accomplish here. There is beauty in simplicity.
First things first
To recover your ETH you must add the network to your wallet. To do this simply click on the dropdown network menu and select "custom RPC".
Next you want to enter the following parameters:
- Network Name: BSC Mainnet
- New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed1.binance.org/
- ChainID: 56
- Symbol: BNB
- Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com/
Then click save to add BSC Mainnet to your MetaMask wallet. Congrats you've just added BSC Mainnet to your wallet.
Next, select the BSC Mainnet as your network and select add custom token:
Next you want to enter the following parameters:
- Token Contract Address: 0x2170ed0880ac9a755fd29b2688956bd959f933f8
- Token symbol: ETH
- Decimals of Precision: 18
After click next and voilà you should now see your ETH!
You can now send it back to a Binance smart chain wallet such as Trust wallet.
Or you can exchange it, remember ETH transactions require gas, so you need to have a way to cover the fees or use Binance bridge to do the swap:https://www.binance.org/en/bridge.
I hope this helps!
