If you've been watching some of the latest big airdrops coming down over the last few months, you might have noticed that many of them were not previously announced. You might be wondering how these airdrop receivers decided to participate in these specific projects in the hopes of getting these coveted airdrops. While there's no 100% fool-proof way to predict airdrops, there are a lot of signals that airdrop hunters look for to anticipate if an airdrop might be likely. One such project that I've started participating in recently is the testnet for ZetaChain by ZetaLabs.

I personally decided to start participating in ZetaChain after seeing a potential airdrop mentioned in various crypto resources that I follow, such as CoinGecko and Boxmining. When perusing the various ways users could potentially participate in activities that might qualify them for an airdrop, I decided that ZetaChain had three different yet easy ways for me to try to snag an upcoming drop:
Participating in the ZetaChain Testnet
Participating in this testnet is very easy, even for new users with little to no testnet experience. Create an account with your Twitter handle and connect your MetaMask wallet. You can add up to five different crypto testnets to your MetaMask wallet, and request test $ZETA and the associated test crypto to cover testing gas fees. (Hint: on the Get ZETA page, expand the Details block to see all of the network and token details to add them to your wallet, along with links to the faucets for each testnet gas fees.) Once you have snagged your test tokens, use the Swap page to run various test swaps. You can currently earn 7,000 Zeta points for one swap each week.
Run into a problem while swapping? Earn even more points when you report your issues in the #testnet-feedback channel in ZetaChain's Discord. And of course, you can also earn more points from referring new members AND their qualifying weekly testing.
Snag ZetaChain Galxe NFTs
Once you've interacted with the ZetaChain testnet for a bit, check out ZetaChain's Galxe mission page. You'll be able to easily claim many of the OATs and NFTs available. Holding these assets in your wallet may potentially increase your odds for receiving an airdrop as well. (As a bonus, at the time of writing, the ones I snagged had minting fees that were either free or covered by ZetaChain, so you can truly get these for your effort only.)
Upgrade Your Discord Roles with ZetaChain's Guild
Got those Galxe NFTs? Good - now head over to the ZetaChain Guild to verify and snag your updated rolls in the ZetaChain Discord server. Updated rolls could lead to unlocked channels or other opportunities/benefits - including that airdrop that we're all hoping for.
Conclusion
Are you participating in the ZetaChain testnet hoping to grab a potential airdrop? Are there other similar projects you have your eye on? If so, I'd love to hear what you're spending your effort on - referral links always welcome in the comments! And as always...DYOR!
