Hey there crypto people we love you!! And the 0x! And Y'ALL are gonna love us back!! just you wait n see, baby!
What a feast of laughs this week in crypto, a great week to be alive!
Let's take a tour of the hilarity this week!
First a quicky from the monkey lawyers working the Celsius wreckage - 27 MM of stablecoins Celcius has may be approved for sale. Why? to pay for Celsius operations of course! Not those pesky clients, no your honour, for execs and lawyers!!!
Another quickie - First Sammy Fried was a white hat hero, saving Voyager Digital like it's 1907. Then the lawyers called Sammy a lowballing low life, denied that he had an option to buy. Now it looks like Sammy is the lead buyer after all, that was funny lawyers!! Insiders say it was him or Wave financial.
Dear readers know the ETH PoW fork started off funny - big hardware power guys try to do software, hey yer doing it all wrong man...Looks like Bitcoin Cash actually, y'know, USED a TEST network. Like, BEFORE ya needed it, non-software ETH PoW monkeys.
Supposedly Gary Gensler got grilled by Congress, a tea leaf reading that CFTC is winning the race. The coverage we saw looked pretty neutral, the grilling story was funnier.
D'oh Kwon had a funny week - but any week he's in the news is a hoot! D'Oh gave us many chuckles. First, D'Oh said he hasn't really been in touch with the law. And, D'Oh only thinks MAYBE he lost. Then D'Oh's arrest warrant was issued, Interpol is on the job! Now, D'Oh has fled the coop from Sing and is places unknown - and STILL teasing us all with his tweets! Only his Pokemon pals get to know his geolocation status, ROFL!!
TLDR: Yeah yeah yeah, we believe you D'Oh!!!
What could go wrong!! A lot, D'Oh, a whole lot. Maybe you have NOT yet lost, D'Oh, maybe that big lose giant fail moment is still coming!!! Thanks for the comedic effort, though! Now the Sing grim reapers AND interpol are after ya! Prediction: a third party, bounty hunter or local, will rat D'Oh out for the big capture. He won't last three months. D-Oh is like Ol Dirty Bastard now, teasing the authorities - FBI don't you be watching me!!! Always a low percentage move, but it makes US happy, thanks, pass the popcorn!!
But D'oh is kinda old funny news.
New young love funny news: Brian from Coinbase is kicking up a RUCUS!!! Coinbase's checkbook is bankrolling a Tornado suit against Treasury, claiming first amendment rights!! Coinbase is sending the lawyers and money this week, but wait there's more - Coinbase is calling in an artillery strike on their own geophysical location!!
Yeah, we tried to write the crypto party manifesto - but big Brian just dropped an app with full Congressional records ratings on our political class!! Woo hooo!!!
Better still Brian is promising Coinbase will facilitate direct campaign contributions in CRYPTO!! Hilarious! Will the pols have a little radio button by their names, Joe Jackson, "buy now?" ROFL!!! This is either genius or what's the Japanese axiom? "The nail that sticks up will be hammered flat!!!" Wow, stay tuned. Brian must be hoping Gary does lose the reghammer power struggle with the CFTC.
Your move, Treasury. Actually, the agitprop cannons are already firing. Janet is urging the SEC AND the CFTC to crack down. The admin is saying BTC makes Joe Sixpack's financial life unstable. A whole new division of crypto enforcers is needed.
Worse news, hard to see as funny, the SEC sez that cryptos are actually liabilities (???) so therefore it will cost too much for banks to handle them.
It IS funny, Gary sez now ETH is PoS it's a security!! Even worse / better - Mikey Sailor, the stinky BTC maxi, AGREES!!!
Very funny biz - OFAC sez if you want your Tornado cash back, just tell them exactly what you are doing and maybe they will give you a license to have your own money. Even funnier, Treasury rules that the dusting attack from T-cash does not have to be immediately reported.
NFT's are always funny. Here we see Vanity Blocks pay 30 eth to the miner who minted the last PoW block. Vanity Blocks then paid another ETH or two in order to mint an NFT which they then sold at auction for a 50% loss, that's very funny.
Would you reinvest in Celsius? Some say no:
Peace, laughs,
love
Dave
