Isa.52:14"As many were astonied at thee;his visage was so marred more than any man,and his form more than the sons of men:"
When his face was disfigured,it was your face that was disfigured by the worst of predicaments that could befall men.
He took your place,that you should take his place.
This is the doctrine of substitution.
Whatever sacrifices you will make,to fulfill God's purpose for your life has already been paid for, in Christ's ultimate death,burial and resurrection.
Take advantage of the ultimate sacrifice by faith,and fly on the wings of multiplied grace.
There is no sacrifice you can make,that is greater than the one Christ has done.
Take advantage of the finished work.
He was slapped,spat upon and disfigured,that you should not be slapped,spat upon and disfigured.
He took your place in suffering,that you should take his place liberty.Even suffering for the Gospel,is done by faith in the already made sacrifice of Christ
