Behold I show you a mystery:

Each 14÷2=7.That means there are 2, sevens in each 14 and 7 is the number of completion .That means in each 14 generations,the were 2 completed generations of 7 generations each.

There are a total of 6 sevens in 42,because 6×7 =42.Six(6) is the number of imperfection,and represents 6 days.
Therefore there are 42 generations from Abraham to Christ representing 6 days.Christ is the end of the 6th day,and the beginning of the 7th day.God's creation of the world in 6days and rest on the 7th day was his divine calendar.Christ is the 7th day-the day of the rapture,but what time it'll be on the 7th day is unknown.
