Everytime you deposit money. That's why the best route is a Credit Union. They are a bank but non profit. My credit union calls the savings account a shares savings. You actually own part of the bank. It would seem like your getting more in interest. They gave me free accidental death and dismemberment insurance. They offer all kinds of discounts around the city.
