Good morning.

Yes i know it has been a while since my last post which was the Helium and Solana one.

Now i know im still a crypto newbie (when are you not still a newbie? answers in the comments please!) but what a weekend it was after that announcement. Personally i did not think it was a bad thing and my firstt reaction was to do a bit of research about the Solana blockchain. I had heard their chain had halted a few times, well so has Helium's.

I read about the oracles, which i see as a good thing as it keeps data moving off chain so even if the chain is halted data will still transfer.

I read more about the hack, well that was a wallet so i was not too concerned.

To be honest i had not found anything that was really that off putting at all, so i was not expecting this!

Now i was trying to read as much as i could to try and guage if it was going to go down further, if there was a chance it could go up or even level out. This was where the sleepless nights happened, i would go to bed, brain would go into overdrive so i would get up and check the chart and this was making it worse, and now i was wide awake and in a bad mood to top it off.

The tears were because during one of these sleeples nights i did actually sell some of our tokens but also our sons (he has a wallet with a couple of hotspots) and when he woke up i told him that i had sold and what he had in dollars. I felt bad for him (i felt sick for us too but we are adults and we made our bed!) because we do ask him what he wants to do with his tokens and we had a price in mind where we would swap it for Bitcoin for him but that was not what we got! 

We still hold some HNT, and the vote for the move to Solana starts tomorrow so i am expecting some more stressfull days/weeks or even months! we will have to wait and see. It goes without saying that currently at this price we are not covering costs so we will have to make a decision as to keeping our hotspots with hosts or turning them off. It is really difficult to try not to be emotional, i can be more rational when it is a $50 dollar loss dabbling in a rebase project but this is a large investment for us.

I felt i had to post something too, this is like my diary of our crypto journey and although this is not easy to write, it is what has happened! (I would like to think that one day i will look back at this and see it as a blip but i am not sure who i am trying to convince here.)
