Silly season is upon us.

Silly season is upon us.

Good morning.

So things are looking good in the land of crypto, I see green charts but with the excitement around things going well then there are the Shillers, the pump and dumpers and the You tube influencers.

I know this as once upon a time I was there, watching and listening to their garbage. It is a learning curve as with all things crypto and the FOMO is strong, they tell you to get in quick BUT DON'T! spend the time doing your own research (DYOR) but even then after hours and hours of reading it is possible to still get it wrong. Been there, done it but didn't even get the T shirt!

The reason these people want you to get in quickly is because the project has either peaked or they just want you in so you can be their exit liquidity. I find it really sad that these influencers use their 'fans' in this way.

Take Logan Paul who has scammed his followers more than once! He promised to pay back the people who invested in Zoo, but still has not and then he is bragging about making more than $65'000 in just one month from a drink that tastes bloody awful! (I have a teenager who confirmed it wasn't nice).

You have 'Christian' Youtubers who have no morals and blatantly shill any new project going regardless for a couple of grand.

You need to stop and think, ask yourself why they are promoting this so much. Pump and dump!

Now there is some quality content out there but you do need to be careful and sift through all of the rubbish to find it. I even had what I called a naughty list AKA s**t list of people who were involved in dodgy projects, failed projects, even an audit company with a really bad track record, my list eventually became a whole book of red flag names.

This was all because we were chasing some short term gains and to be fair I lost count of the number of whitepapers I actually read, audits I read and people I researched only to realise most of them were not good or sustainable projects, there were some gains made in a short space of time but also some losses but as time went on we realised this was not the way. I am not saying never again but I can sleep at night now without checking charts in the middle of the night.

Be careful out there, yes crypto can be great, exhilarating and exciting but it can also be the opposite.

As always, thank you for reading and feel free to comment.
