Kaspa mining on old devices.

Good morning/evening.

My latest experiment along with trading, is to mine the Kaspa token.

The reason for this is many people say you can mine Kaspa with old pc's, laptops and even phones. We have many old laptops that were sitting idle so we thought we would give it a go. I am not expecting much but as these old devices were just sat there then why not. I can't see that pushing up the electricity that much either. We are using Unmineable, with an old mini tower that is slow and was my son's first PC as well as an old laptop and a Samsung phone using XMRig on android.

WHAT IS KASPA?

Kaspa is the fastest, open-source, decentralized & fully scalable Layer-1 in the world.
The world’s first blockDAG –(Directed Acyclic Graph) a digital ledger enabling parallel blocks and instant transaction confirmation – built on a robust proof-of-work engine with rapid single block intervals.
Built by industry pioneers, led by the people.

On September 1, 2022, Kaspa partnered with Flux, a major provider of distributed cloud solutions, to launch Kaspa blockchain nodes on their cloud platform.

KAS launched in November 2021 with no re-mine, zero pre-sales, and no token allocations. The maximum supply of KAS tokens is 28.7 billion tokens, with an emission program that halves yearly through seamless monthly reductions

Kaspa utilizes the PHANTOM protocol – a scalable simplification of the Bitcoin consensus (transaction rules, states, and Bitcoin values).

I have set up a Kaspa wallet and We can only withdraw once I reach 50 Kaspa tokens. (You will get a fresh public address for each transaction, but they will still go to your main wallet address).

This is after 1 full day, but I have only set the mining speed at slow as these devices are old, but I will see how it goes and I may bump it up and as I said, I am not expecting much and will review how it is going in a few months but as there was no outlay so I am quite excited to see how it goes.

What are your thoughts? Is it a good idea to try and make your old devices earn something?

As always, thank you for reading and feel free to comment.
