Good morning.

As some of you are aware our first Crypto venture was with Helium, we had our wallets on our phones and as Helium was quite good at the start we were walking around with hundreds (occasionaly thousands of dollars) on our phones! So we decided to buy a Ledger. To be fair it was a bit of a nightmare moving HNT to and from the Ledger as it was only in developer mode, so there was a lot of copy and paste of lines of code that had to be very precise, miss a colon and you had to start again. We were not too worried though as although it would take some time to send to the ledger we were planning on HODLing a certain amount and not regularly moving it.
When we decided to move our BTC to the Ledger from the exchange, I thought it would also be a bit of a frustrating morning. I was pleasantly suprised how easy it was, we just had to click on BTC, generate an address and then do the normal withdrawal from Binance, it took about 20 minutes for the transaction to go through and only 10 minutes to set up.
So there you have it, my first withdrawal of BTC from the exchange to the Ledger.

We have left our other coins/tokens on Binance, most are locked in staking for various periods and although there has been a lot of FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt) regarding Binace and some of the other exchanges, the percentage of our portfolio still on the exchange is around 40%. If I really thought Binance was going to crash then that would be 0% but I just feel more comfortable knowing my BTC is safe.
As always thank you for reading and please feel free to comment.
