I need to research DAI some more but from what I have seen I like it a lot. Most stablecoins can be locked on request. DAI is not part of that group of coins. I wasn't aware of this up until a few weeks ago, but apparently they can.

A very detailed guide explaining several steps to assess a blockchain. Great job! I wasn't aware that Stellar accounts need a reserve. Just 2 XLM Lumens, but still. Ripple requires 25 XRP for new accounts. They did so even when the value of their coins was $2-3. That is a lot of money just for the pleasure of creating an account. The GOLD token is an ERC-20 token so you can store it in any wallet that supports ERC-20 tokens. MyEtherWallet, MetaMask, Ledger, Trezor, Coinomi etc. MyEtherWallet and MetaMask are often recommended for ERC-20 tokens.
