NFT's attached to gaming is really a whole different ecosystem to be honest, but you have the right idea. Enjin, a ~20 year strong game development studio is blazing the trail for blockchain gaming, but theres a ton of other names in the space as well. I mention Enjin specifically because they've publicized their open-source SDK, and made it relatively simple for any game developer worth their salt to integrate their game onto blockchain, and to add cryptocollectible game assets that are easily interoperable with dozens of other games across the rapidly expanding multiverse/metaverse. Another thing that really stands out about Enjin is that they've essentially created "Semi-Fungible Tokens", for lack of a better term. Art NFT's are primarily issued on the Erc721 protocol, which creates each item as an individual asset. Enjin established the ERC1155 protocol, allowing for game devs to, per your example, mint 300 spartan soldiers that are essentially identical at the time of creation, but then can all level up or gain skills individually; while also allowing for the game assets to hold guaranteed value by staking tokens in the creation of the item. Eg: 300 spartans are created, with a total stake of 3000 ENJ, so regardless of perceived value, or on the other hand if the game they were created for doesnt succeed; if I own one of those spartans and don't care to keep or sell it, i could "melt" the token to retreive the 10 ENJ staked in it

That's a good question! In my experience, the majority of artists in the space primarily issue their artistic NFT's as a single edition piece, but on occasion people will mint a 'batch' of the same artwork and offer it at a lower cost as its then less scarce. That said, when I've done multiple editions of a piece, I try to make a point to label them as such eg: 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3. That way, despite being visually identical pieces of art, they remain seperately identifiable by their annotations, as well as by their individual token addresses
