Very good remark - thank you! It indeed takes some time to reflect on the values that really drive you but it's absolutely worth it since it gives us more clarity on where to direct our time and energy.

PhD-Dropout here: while not wanting to be patronizing in any way I want to encourage you to think really good about this. Doing a PhD can cost you a lot of mental energy if you're e.g. not advancing with your subject but still have lots of other obligations in your life. Like you I also have a history of mental issues and during my PhD my anxiety became worse and worse until the point that I decided to drop out. I'm not saying that the same thing will happen to you, after all we're all different, it's just my own personal experience with it. Anyway, all the best for your life projects!!

An easy way to make BTC from home

Sure. Basically cloud boost allows you to multiple the natural mining speed of your CPU. Say if it's ~2000 H/S you could buy multiple boost-levels (2x/4x/6x/8x/10x). I bought 10x for 21$ a month. Last month I earned BTC for a value of roughly $30. However the catch is that you need to have a rather performant CPU. Mine's a Core i9. With older CPUs you're probably only able to mine around 1000 H/S or less and then you'd not be able to make $30 a month, thus not operating profitable.

I'm using CryptoTab-Browser with 10x Cloud Boost function. Without it I would barely be able to make any money; however in that way I've earned so far 0.004 BTC, which "only" equals to $40, but I'm sure that the value of BTC will grow in the future, so that's fine with me.

Mining, cloud mining, pool mining, what the f***? - Simply explained

I tried cloud mining with Genesis Mining two years ago. I barely made any ROI: I could have also just bought BTC for the same amount of money that I've invested in my mining contract and it would have made me almost the same. I think today the ROI is even worse from what I've calculated recently. So I personally wouldn't recommend.

There's something off with STEEM's incentive-system: users with a large following ("the whales") have more power to reward others with STEEM. So smaller users are trying to win the whale's sympathy in order to obtain some of his mana. The system naturally tends towards some sort of oligarchy where it's hard as a newbie. Personally, I prefer the system in publish0x, but I'm curious to read about your experiment!
