Sweet Land of Liberty will we lose thee?
According to the bible, after being released from bondage in Egypt, the Israelites wandered the desert for forty years, until they finally reached the area where they would permanently settle, known as the Promised Land. The desert or Sinai is the place where old slave habits must die. A new generation or foundation is formed before one may enter the land flowing with milk and honey. Releasing old slave habits applies both individually as well as collectively.

The Mayflower set sail in 1620 from England with pilgrims to the New World seeking religious freedom. The New World pilgrims have wandered in the desert for 400 years. Will the old slave habits die and a new generation properly enter the Sweet Land of Liberty?

Slave habits are hard to die and freedom seekers soon forget, in the cares of the mundane world, the memory of the Promised Land. They lose sight of the promise of their forefathers and sell their birthright for mineral possessions, vegetable comfort, and animal status. No doubt you can see this in the current state of politics around the world.
There's nothing new under the sun. Abuse and control by small elite groups have been going on for a long time in an overt and covert manner be it military might or the power of the pen. If we don't put a check on our slave habits, we'll allow the promise of peaceable voluntary exchange in cryptocurrency to fade away too. We the People have an opportunity to protect our life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. However, we need to clearly recognize the way interference occurs in our media, politics, religion, and mediums of exchange.
Interference is an explanation for forgetting in long term memory. The theory states that interference occurs when information that is similar in formats gets in the way of the information that someone is trying to recall. In today's age of information, we are bombarded with interference as well as many other psychological manipulations.
