My friend and I had a go at drawing our feelings today. We started out from that idea anyway. And I didn't intend to draw a self-portrait but soon I was well... a bit that way inclined. So here they (as in she/he) are...

The evening has swished by sort of. I've had more energy than yesterday and happily more winners at the races than yesterday and then it's oh well... I've looked through a few emails about a few creative peoples - Phyllida Barlow's sculptures are amazing! - but not explored much of the internet. But it's time for bed... nearly. It all goes by too quick.
Two Chromebooks. Nice things to have. One of them very broken and one of them in nice working order. I'll keep the good one; maybe set Linux up on it. It wouldn't be very safe to use anyway - I'm not sure what computer is but - Google doesn't update the OS for this. I still like it though it was made in 2012. Even the broken one is kind of fun but there's not much to do on them. Well there is. This broken one is my friend's anyway. I can't hock this away on eBay. I'll try to work with the one in working order and set up some Linux on it I think.
For the broken one I have turned to the internet and Google's recycling programme. I've put in my UK address and they have sent me a label to drop it off at a local UPS point (there's one in this town). Then it's going to get flown out to Re-Teck in the Netherlands and there is an invoice note in there for 100.0 USD. The e-mail thanks me for my dedication to the environment. Kinda' weird. But that's good. Hopefully the shop will barcode scan it and take it in.
Being environmental is hard work. I've lied to them about the state of the battery which isn't actually working. Now I may have to research Lithium ion battery disasters. Signs of a dead battery include the swelled chassis of a laptop - yes, it's got that! Cobalt and nickel can potentially leak out of batteries generally speaking and cause groundwater pollution. This is all getting a bit stupid. Why am I posting this to fly out to the Netherlands? Oh, here are a few other options. Like places to take the batteries too nearby so I can probably do that. That's cool. Tesco and a local charity shop.
It is late now. A picture and some recycling discussion then for tonight or this new morning.
