1BTC - Twitter

Twitter is a strange beast. I have used it in many capacities over the years. Professionally, recreationally, and often very unprofessionally. If you've spent any amount time on Twitter you will quickly learn that everyone is angry. With Twitter you can build a think tank, or you can build an echochamber. It is very hard to understand and recognize the difference.

Twitter can provide real-time news and updates on the latest developments in the crypto world - something that would otherwise be difficult to keep track of without a dedicated source. This can range from new coins being listed on exchanges, details of upcoming ICOs and partnerships between high profile companies. On top of this, Twitter also offers opportunities for investors to connect with industry professionals and mentors - giving them an insight into the markets that would otherwise be difficult to obtain. I have found faucets and other venues to add to my BTC position such as Noise and Cointiply because of Twitter.

Twitter can also provide a platform for investors to share their thoughts on the market, as well as interact with other like-minded individuals who are knowledgeable in the space. This can give users access to valuable knowledge which can help inform decisions when investing or trading crypto. Furthermore, Twitter has become a major hub for discussion and debate between developers, traders and influencers - enabling users to gain deeper insights into how these experts think about cryptocurrency trading and investment strategies. This is a double edged sword.

There is so much noise. Especially if you wade into the NFT or dog themed corners of the crypto space. Many account use crypto topics to farm engagement. You will no doubt see people claiming to give away some tokens because they have done so well. Or others begging for likes. Many accounts are only trying to build then monetize a following. Many people come across as knowledgeable but are just pretenders.

If you are careful Twitter can be a very useful tool to help you navigate the crypto world, if you are not careful it can lead you down problematics pathways.

I give the Twitter 3 out of 5 stars. It can be fun, it can insanely toxic. I think it is a net positive but you have to be careful, because their are more scammers than good accounts.
