Since Binance vacated the Canadian market I have been using KuCoin for my yield farming needs. Is it as good? I would say no. Has it made me very angry at times, yes. Is the UI confusing and hard to navigate, also yes. Would I switch away from KuCoin if someone were to recommend another platform? Instantly.
All to say is I am not a huge fan of KuCoin, but it is a necessary evil. I guess.
It does many things like a wish version of Binance. I dislike how hard the platform makes tracking passive income. I have all but given up. Last month KuCoin blocked my deposit from Go Mining and that bitcoin is just lost in the void.
One of the most confusing and poorly executed features is its Learn & Earn. Don't get me wrong, I am always happy to get some free crypto, but the folks at KuCoin have deceivded to go their own way with it.
Every other Learn & Earn I have ever used follows the same structure. Read a paragraph or two, answer a few questions, receive a set amount of cryptocurrency. These are just a formality. This is a feature to spread tokens to new users and build a wider user base. Maybe someone will buy in and become a long term holder and supporter. I instantly flip my tokens into a coin that I prefer.
KuCoin has decieded to use prize pools.
They have a set amount of the token being rewarded and distribute them to the learner based on their percentage of ownership in the prize pool. Now you read the article, answer the questions, and you receive a number of tickets based on how many question you got correct. Once the pool closes you are rewarded with your proportion of the prized pool.
The upside is that you eventually get your tokens. The disadvantage is that your rewards are so small that they basically don't matter.
I was able to swap my CATI into some BNB, but I am stuck with TNA basically forever. The way KuCoin does Learn & Earn leaves you with these tiny positions of shitcoins that will go no where. What am I going to do with 0.11 Sundog tokens? With Binance your were able to sweep all your tiny positions into BNB once per day. This made airdrops less annoying. If there is a smaller project that you wanted to build a position in you could, but if they airdropped you some esoteric and obscure token you could instantly swap into their prop token. Everyone won.
I now have 13 coins in my KuCoin wallet that I hold less than $0.05 in value. I would start building a KCS position this way if they would let me.
Anyways this is a round about way of asking for any advice on how to better use KuCoin, because I don't like it at all.
