As I mentioned yesterday I was annoyingly close to another COIN to XYO exchange. I hit the 10,000 tokens this morning and made the exchange. What a great way to start the month. Nothing better thank Banking 771 XYO first thing in the morning and starting the month fresh.
The Coin Team dropped some fun news this week that made me smile because it is a feature that I wished they had a while ago. I only have a basic account with COIN. I don't like paying for advanced account features as I don't think they are worth it. COIN gave me a 3 day trial and when I did the math it was almost break even. Counterpoint, that was at a point where I may had not been using the app optimally. I also remember that I was grinding out the mining in my apartment and not moving about the city. This made the mining only as fast as I could clear the minigame.
I wanted to try again, but my lifestyle is stationary. If I was a driver of some capacity I would see the value of paying for the memberships. Which leads me to the newest announcement from the COIN team. They are now selling temporary boosts.
For $0.99 USDT - paid from an external source like a credit card or google pay. With this boost your mining rate is increased for 4 hours. Financially, this makes more sense. Obviously the lower cost is appealing, but the flexibility is what I love. For instance, mid month I have to drive to another city. its 4.5 hours there and back. I can purchase a boost for each leg, set my phone to auto-mine and rack up COIN while not even thinking about it.
I also take a train home a few times per year. The train takes just over 4 hours. I wanted to know how much I could mine in a four hour straight run.
With my sentinel bonus and a basic account I was able to mine 500 COIN. With mining speed up 300% I should be able to mine 1500 COIN. I am excited to test this feature and will obviously keep diligent notes and keep everyone updated.
Time for a bit of Math using the prices at time of writing
if
10,000 = 771 XYO = $4.48 USDT
then
1500 = 115 XYO = $0.66 USDT
So, it may be not worth it. But the reception on the train ride home is always terrible. I don't think I was mining efficiently. I am excited to use my upcoming road trip as a proof of concept.
