BTC at time of writing:

To paraphrase the late great Canadian rock icon Gord Downie, its been a long time running and worth wait. 

I started this project in 2019 to prove that you can build towards a whole Bitcoin on little to no budget without incurring humongeous risk. 

I am now 10% of the way there. As of October 5th, 2026, I have 0.1 BTC. 

I think of this milestone as Charlie Munger thought of your first $100,000 in investing. 

"The first $100,000 is a bitch, but you gotta do it. I don't care what you have to do—if it means walking everywhere and not eating anything that wasn't purchased with a coupon, find a way to get your hands on $100,000. After that, you can ease off the gas a little bit."

His thinking is that with an asset base of $100,000 a 5% increase or $5,000 is meaningful for most people when compared to their annual income.

Adding 0.005 BTC each year passively is a dream, that I am very close to achieving. 

The heartwarming part about keeping a diary of my efforts is that I can look back and see how far I've come.

When I first started keeping notes on November 20th, 2019, I held 0.06 BTC

I had 0.08 BTC on March 8, 2024. 

Today I have 0.10 BTC.

Hopefully the acceleration continues even as prices rise.
