We've been following the mini-portfolio for a few episodes now, so I think I'm going to make a few changes to make it easier to follow. From now on all the posts on this blog will be titled "Saturday's Miniportfolio Update" and will be published every Saturday (Maybe at different times of the day).
This week has been a week of learning for me and luckily it has not been at the cost of losing my money but it has been at the cost of losing the gains that the market has made. Many of the assets that I was playing with in the previous weeks have had significant rallies that I did not take advantage of by not keeping my trades open. Lesson: If you have good stocks at a good price, be patient and don't be afraid of red. You can be in temporary losses until the market recovers, but if you bought well, you will come out with a good profit.

In yesterday's session, we can see the Chinese automotive sector as the big loser. With actions that for me are very cheap like NIO (I'm not saying that it can't go down any further) and others that, despite the fall, still don't look so beaten.

Regarding the state of the portfolio, we have a couple of food stocks included that I expect to behave in a "stable" way in the coming months. We also maintain the positions of the most expensive assets that we have and that has been monopolizing almost 40% of our capital for a long time (it seems that it will continue like this much longer if I do not assume the loss). Bitcoin is not going to give me a starting price before 6 months, I think, Enjin could take more than a year and Twitter... well, it can do anything, from going to ten dollars if false accounts are reported, such as getting to 70 $ if Musk buys it and washes his face.

After all, I think we haven't closed any new trades in the green since the last report. This is the current situation of the miniportfolio, with an initial income of $101 approx. and a current value of 125 approx. we have a 23% positive since the beginning. It is not a gain but at least we stay without losses while we learn to manage emotions.

I am going to continue experimenting and trying to learn to get something out of this tiny portfolio, so we will have to better control our emotions and accept temporary and permanent losses as part of learning. See you at next "Saturday's Miniportfolio Update"
