0xGames was founded in 2017 and launched its first game, 0xUniverse, on the Ethereum blockchain. A galaxy exploration game, 0xUniverse rapidly grew its user base and received frequent updates. However, the ridiculous rise in Ethereum gas fees cut excitement short and players were left with thousands of planets that were to expensive to move and the game began to die.
Then two galaxies were added to 0xUniverse that run on the MATIC blockchain and now players are coming back in droves. MATIC is currently valued at less than $1.10 and transaction fees within the game are $0.01. The transaction fees will sometimes get higher than $0.01, but if you can be patient you will see them go back down fairly quickly. Everything in the game uses MATIC, so players are able to earn selling planets, energy, wreckages, and more. Their game wallet makes it easy to send their MATIC wherever they like.
The game is free to download on Android and iOS. There is also a browser version of the game. You must purchase your first planet to start and it will cost you around $1.50 to $2. The game has it's own shop to acquire planets, but buying them in the game Marketplace from other players is much cheaper.
Once you have your first planet you will begin to accumulate knowledge. Knowledge is accumulated by the total population of all planets and lets you build new spaceships so that you can find more planets. There are also artifacts to find and a new feature, the Corp Wars, is launching today which seems like it will be very interesting.
It is obvious that the game is coming back to life and once you get a few spaceships going and get yourself a strategy, you can earn some real money within the game. My next article will explain my strategy for earning through the game, which seems to work quite well, so make sure to follow me!
