So on Friday, Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers of the US District Court in the Northern District of California ruled a historic judgement in favor of Epic and against the tech monopoly Apple and now Apple can no longer block payments which are outside of the scope of the App Store.

In between all of this, Epic had already introduced V-bucks, an in app currency and had also offered huge discounts and incentives for users to use this currency instead and not use the Apple payments system.

This is such a huge win against monopolies and I would assume this would only start opening up all the possibilities of external payment methods especially the crypto ones.

I don't know when this happened exactly, it may have been later in 2020 but the Brave browser was forced to stop paying users out BAT for their users probably because of the same ruling and I hope people will be able to earn BAT and other crypto currencies from their iPhones and Android phones now.

The crypto community should be thankful for the Epic gaming community on this historic moment and I would only think the future is brighter for crypto on mobile phones from here!
