In Splinterlands there is an in game token known as DEC = Dark Energy Crystals. DEC can be used to trade for other tokens/crypto through steem-engine.io or used to purchase splinterlands game cards. To earn DEC there are three ways. One win battles in the game, burn game cards for DEC, or trade other tokens for DEC. Very recently there has been a dramatic shift in prices to the down side for DEC. As the new season has begun something about the DEC reward payouts for winning matched seemed a little higher than previous seasons. I wonder if the 2 million DEC prize during New Year's Eve event payout and new season has anything to do with the recent DEC price drop?
