I have been thinking about this concept since the fall of FTX and SBF.
A quick google search on how to start a crypto exchange produced 130,000,000 results. I did not look at all of the results, but I was curious as to what I would find. It was an interesting read, and something I find fascinating.
As I have been learning about cryptocurrency, I have become less and less afraid of it. I actually am becoming a believer in the long term viability of cryptocurrency as a whole. I even think the downfall of the recent crypto exchanges, and Terra Luna in the spring of 2022 is good for the long term health of the industry.
I wonder what type of investment it would take to start and exchange. I would want it to be secure, to have some type of insurance like guarantee for investors, similar to FDIC (I am not sure if that is possible), and I would not be sure if I would create my own coin.
Building a crypto currency exchange that would act simultaneously like an exchange and a crypto wallet would be ideal. A best of both worlds, and something that can start to engender trust in the industry from the general public. There is too much uncertainty and greed in the market in general, too much fraud, and not enough healthy market competition.
Would I call it TwoDogs Capital Exhange? The Cryptocracy Exchange, as the founder would be anonymous. I don't want to be rich by robbing and manipulating others. I think we need something like this in the world. This thought is just that, some short thoughts on the subject. Would it even be possible to do it this way?
