Today I left home during the afternoon and ended up going very close to the beach. This time I went to visit a land of fishermen with good people, good food and a bar that I love to call "IODO".
The day was sad and sure it was going to rain, but there was no end of everything or the weather there, if I was behind and ended up taking some pictures there to show, unfortunately yesterday I couldn't post anything or ended up making my readers a little sad , Hope you like it.

ANGEIRAS a fishing land placed in the vicinity of matosinhos land of lots of fresh fish so that we can enjoy the dishes.
At the moment, Angeiras has about 14 boats to practice its activity, in which they operate at night and arrive around 7 am with the fish from that last night.

And also known for the good Blue Flag beaches and for its very characteristic people there, they have a church and in September the beach party is celebrated where sardines are offered and the boats are decorated, in honor of the patron saint who stays at night all looking at the boats and who works on them

Recently there have been works to requalify the place, everything has become more beautiful and more present, the fishermen's houses, as you can see with a lot of colors, some of them even rent in summer time and sleep in other places, they say to be very profitable.

Sometimes the beach of fishermen can be quite disorganized and their place of work is not a beach for bathing =)

Your fishing gear helps us catch your fish with a few flags and allows you to identify where you left it.

They stay in strategic places near the rocks to catch the fish hidden in the holes.

Most of the fish only go out at night, so they start working in the late afternoon, placing the "covos" beside the rocks
Here in the area they fish the most for seafood and octopus, in fact, it is the one that gives the most money.
They take the opportunity to sell seafood directly in the area.
But they also catch mackerel sardines and other more common types of fish.

The boats are removed from the water at about 40 meters, so that the sea water does not carry them.
On site, we also have a house to help in the water (ISN) with a jet ski and a fast rescue boat, if it is serious, both get out into the water and there is help from Porto more quickly in this case of Leixões

We have an audible warning when the sky is cloudy which helps us to identify the land in an easy way

On the main road, there are fish restaurants that help us to taste the delicacies of the region on a gastronomic level

In summer Angeiras receives many visitors because it also has a camping site and there is a junction between the countryside and the beach, in addition to the calm that the surrounding areas have, but we are only 10 minutes from the city of Matosinhos
