After quite a long stay in Malaysia, we decided to move to other regions of Asia. After a short thought, we chose Thailand, namely two islands, Koh Samui and Koh Phangan. The first one on the way was Koh Samui.
Po dość długim pobycie w Malezji postanowiliśmy przenieść się w inne regiony Azji. Po krótkim namyśle wybraliśmy Tajlandię, a dokładnie dwie wyspy Koh Samui i Koh Phangan. Pierwsza po drodze była Koh Samui.

We started the tour from Georgetown on the island of Pinang in Malaysia. The transport and service of tourists on both the Malaysian and Thai sides is so well organized that we should learn from them.
Trasę rozpoczęliśmy z miejscowości Georgetown na wyspie Pinang w Malezji. Transport i obsługa turystów zarówno po stronie malezyjskiej jak i tajlandzkiej jest tak dobrze zorganizowana, że powinniśmy się od nich uczyć.
We used the services of one of the offices dealing with such comprehensive transport. After calculating the costs, it was much cheaper than organizing on your own, and without any effort.
Skorzystaliśmy z usług jednego z biur zajmującymi się właśnie takim kompleksowym transportem. Po przeliczeniu kosztów, wyszło to zdecydowanie taniej, niż organizacja na własną rękę, a do tego bez żadnego wysiłku.
Our destination was Lamai, with the beach of the same name. After leaving the ferry, we tried to get there by hitchhiking, which in Malaysia was the norm and without any problems. Yes, but Thailand is not Malaysia. Nothing is free here anymore. The island is very commercialized and focused only on profit. We did not manage to stop any hitchhiking, and 10 km on foot, with heavy backpacks, in the heat and monstrous humidity was out of the question.
Naszym miejscem docelowym była miejscowość Lamai, z plażą o takiej samej nazwie. Po wyjściu z promu próbowaliśmy dostać się tam autostopem, co w Malezji było normą i bezproblemowe. Tak, ale Tajlandia to nie Malezja. Tu już nie ma nic za darmo. Wyspa jest bardzo skomercjalizowana i nastawiona tylko na zysk. Nie udało nam się zatrzymać żadnego autostopu, a 10 km piechotą, z ciężkimi plecakami, w upale i potwornej wilgotności nie wchodziły w grę.
We caught a marshrutka - 100 lashes per person and that's it, no matter where you go. We got there after a whole day of travel - two ferries, two buses and finally a marshrutka to our bungalow.
Złapaliśmy marszrutkę - 100 batów od osoby i już, nie ważne gdzie jedziesz. Dotarliśmy na miejsce po całym dniu podróży - dwa promy, dwa autobusy i na koniec marszrutka do naszego Bungalowu.
We were already very tired, we decided to end the day with a drink from a local invention, which was impossible to swallow without some juice or Coca-Cola.
Byliśmy już mocno zmęczeni, postanowiliśmy zakończyć dzień na drinku z miejscowego wynalazku, który bez jakiegoś soku, czy coca-coli był nie do przełknięcia.
Usually, the first place we go after arriving on the islands is of course the beach. This time it was different. The next morning, we did a short reconnaissance and went around the city and the surrounding area.
Zazwyczaj, pierwsze miejsce do jakiego kierujemy się po przybyciu na wyspy, to jest oczywiście plaża. Tym razem było inaczej. Następnego dnia rano zrobiliśmy krótki rekonesans i pokręciliśmy się po mieście i okolicy.

We came across a workshop of an artist, a painter operating since 1987, such points are obligatory in tourist destinations.
Trafiliśmy na warsztat artysty, malarki funkcjonujący od 1987 roku, takie punkty są obowiązkowe w miejscowościach turystycznych.
We saw works, some of them interesting and at a good price, we would be glad to buy it, if not for a further journey.
Obejrzeliśmy dzieła, niektóre nawet interesujące i w dobrej cenie, chętnie byśmy nabyli, gdyby nie dalsza podróż.
Unfortunately, it is a big problem to wander around Asia with such a delicate matter, the more so as it was not the end of our journey.
Niestety jest to duży problem tułać się z tak delikatną materią po Azji, tym bardziej, że to nie był jeszcze koniec naszej włóczęgi.

On the way, we also visited the Thai Boxing School.
Po drodze zajrzeliśmy również do szkoły Boksu Tajskiego.
You could order lessons with a trainer for about 300 Thai bahts per hour.

But after watching this digging, I decided to become just an observer.
Ale po obejrzeniu tej kopaniny postanowiłem jednak zostać tylko obserwatorem.
Of course, the ubiquitous dogs are also on Koh Samui, this one was not interested in the struggles of boxers.
Oczywiście wszędobylskie pieski, są również i na Koh Samui, ten nie był zainteresowany zmaganiami bokserów.

In the afternoon we finally went to the beach, I took the drone and all the equipment and it was worth it.
Po południu w końcu ruszyliśmy na plażę, zabrałem drona i cały sprzęt i warto było.
The beach surprised us pleasantly, clean yellow sand, large waves and huge rounded boulders, reminiscent of advertising photos from Seychelles.
Plaża mile nas zaskoczyła, czysty żółciutki piasek, duże fale i ogromne zaokrąglone głazy, przypominające zdjęcia reklamowe z Seszeli.

It is worth visiting this place, despite the fact that commercialization has entered here with great force and will not leave it anymore. In the second part of my trip to Koh Samui, I will show you an island that resembles the Seychelles.
Warto zwiedzić to miejsce, mimo iż komercjalizacja wtargnęła tu z impetem na dobre i już go nie opuści. W drugiej części podróży po Koh Samui pokażę wyspę do złudzenia przypominającą Seszele.
