This is the entrance to the shooting range near the end of the tour.
The Củ Chi tunnels attraction has hundreds of displays including was dummies showing various tasks that were performed. People actually lived in these tunnels - they had hospitals, living quarters, kitchens, bomb shelters, theaters, and weapons factories.
The area covers about 60 sq miles with 250km (155 miles) of tunnels.
The first attraction is a hideout used by the VC. You can get into the hideout and cover yourself with the camouflaged lid.

When it was my turn, I said to the guy, "Im too big, I won't fit". "No, no" he said "You will fit".
He was 1/2 right - my chest got stuck and I couldn't go down or up.

I felt sorry for the guy, trying to pull me up. I got the giggles and couldn't help him I was laughing so hard.
Then you can go down into a tunnel. This tunnel has been widened for Western tourists, but even so my shoulders were brushing the sides of the tunnel.

I went 1/2 way, that was enough for me. It was extremely claustrophobic.

These trees were designed to allow the cooking smoke to escape without being obvious. These trees are dotted all over the park.

This display shows the various different types of booby traps. Very vicious.

The next photo doesn't really do it justice. This is a crater left from a B-52 bomb.

A really interesting way to spend half a day.
