Dragon Bridge

Bhuddist Temple, Đà Nẵng

Đà Nẵng, home of my favourite bridge in the world

Da Nang has a beautiful area around the River, near the Dragon Bridge (Cầu rồng) but there is a lot more to Da Nang.

Dragon Bridge Da Nang

We took a couple of cyclo's (xích lô) for a ride around Da Nang and they took us to a Bhuddist temple.

This is my sister in a xích lô. We hired them for an hour to take us around the city. It's a very relaxing way to go around.

A very ornate Golden Smiling Buddha

These were the grounds outside the temple, full of ornate carvings and statues.

To go inside, you must remove your footware which is very common in Asia.

:

:

Drums are often used to signal the start of a service or ritual and in schools to signal the start and end of each period. This ornate drum is many hundreds of years old and is no longer used but in display.

It was a beautiful Temple and we thoroughly enjoyed our time wandering around here.
