Loopring (LRC): How to Stake LRC

Loopring (LRC) token is now officially integrated on Publish0x 🎉

But more important question for me is this 👇

Can you stake Loopring (LRC) token?

TLDR: YES

But it is not easy.

I mean it is not hard either but it is not like LRC Stake: On/Off kind of easy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The good news is that Staking UI will be live soon (by May 1st, 2020) so if you can wait, staking LRC and claiming rewards will be much more easier (hopefully)

How to stake?

Go to LRC contract and connect your wallet "Connect to Web3" here

https://etherscan.io/address/lrctoken.eth#writeContract

contract

In this "approve" form

Copy and paste this address "0xF4662bB1C4831fD411a95b8050B3A5998d8A4A5b" in the "_spender (address)" field.

And type in how much LRC you want to stake in the "_value (uint256)" field, but be careful about this value.

You have to add 18 extra '0's after the value (😂😂😂)

So I want to stake 156 LRC, the value will be 156000000000000000000 (this is why they need better UI)

Click "Write" and "Confirm" this transaction on your wallet.

Approve form

walle confirm

success

Once this transaction is confirmed, go to LRC Staking contract here (different page🤣🤣🤣) and connect the same wallet again.

https://etherscan.io/address/stakingpool.lrctoken.eth#writeContract

wallet

Scroll down to "stake" form and type in the same LRC amout in the field and "Write"

stake field

That is it. Staking is done once the transaction is processed successfully.

You can check and verify your staking here and type in your address and "Query"

https://etherscan.io/address/stakingpool.lrctoken.eth#readContract

verify staking

This will show you how long you have to wait til withdrawal, reward, LRC balance, and pending reward

  • withdrawalWaitTime (uint256)
  • rewardWaitTime (uint256)
  • balance (uint256)
  • pendingReward (uint256)

Minimum staking period is 90 days.

I don't think this process is hard, but to be honest, I think it is silly, you have to go to different pages to fill in different forms and confirm transaction few times, wait and stuff like that.  (you can make mistakes in the process)

So I would recommend to wait for a better staking UI but if you like to get started and dive in right way, this is what you have to do :)
