Theta joins Blockchain Association

Theta Labs has officially joined the ranks of the Blockchain Association (BA).

What does Blockchain Association actually do?

Exec summary - the leading US nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting a pro-innovation policy environment for the digital asset economy

They turned five years old back in 2023, they are crypto’s leading trade association in Washington D.C

Some of the key activities the BA engages in include:

Educating policymakers in Washington and beyond about blockchain and digital-asset technology
Advocating for a pro-innovation regulatory framework, and working to ensure that legislation or regulation does not stifle the technology’s potential
Providing its members with policy analysis, briefings, visits to Capitol Hill, and input into regulatory proposals
Facilitating working groups across many sub-sectors of the industry (DeFi, DePIN, stablecoins, Layer 1/Layer 2, self-custody, etc) to build consensus and shape industry-wide positions

Why did Theta join the BA?

oining the Blockchain Association reflects our confidence in the future of the US blockchain space, and we’re committed to contributing to the development of policy and standards. We’re excited about the opportunities ahead, and we look forward to working alongside the BA and its members to help shape a more open, innovative, and decentralized digital future.

Who else joined Blockchain Association this year?

Alchemy, Chainlink Labs, FalconX, Flow Traders, Frax, Interop Labs, Jito, Lightspark, Polymer Labs, Predicate, Proximity, Rain, Sky Mavis, Thesis, Uniswap Foundation, and Zcash Foundation. Add in several crypto mining firms such as MARA Holdings (MARA), Riot Platforms (RIOT), Core Scientific (CORZ), Bitmain and Cipher Mining (CIFR). Now I can believe I’m a strong collective like that.
