BrownPay: The next OneCoin has just arrived - and it's going to scam thousands

Remember Dr. Ruja Ignatova and her notorious OneCoin, promising huge returns, only to have Ignatova disappearing along with several hundreds millions of dollars? Now, a new doctor, this time from... drumroll... Nigeria, under the name Sandra Bakare, is ready to introduce her own crypto-scam, called BrownPay, to the world - and especially Africa.

BrownPay - according to its page on LinkedIn - is a new generic use token on the Ethereum blockchain. It will be made (since no contract provided neither in their whitepaper, nor their website) to initiate and facilitate international payments all over Africa. The weird thing is that despite its all-Nigerian team, the project is based in... drumroll, again... Ukraine! Their 10-page whitepaper (here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QQTIUqNSlhm8BwKb2p1M5rr5LSaqym9N/view) is telling to its users and investors, that it will be doing exactly what every other coin, and token is already doing: it will be facilitating international remittances! As if the world needed a token doing exactly that!

Oh, they do have a website too: https://www.brownpay.io. The thing with this website is that besides the homepage, nothing else is working. With a broken site and the promise to do everybody else is already doing for years, they expect to raise $6 million from initial investors. Plus another $25 million during their ICO.

Now, Dr. Sandra Bakare, is also a weird lady. In her very early 30s (as per her LinkedIn profile), she managed to achieve the impossible: first she was awarded a BSc in Medicine in 2020, from an Ukrainian university (where she started studying in 2014), and now she is after an MBA (started right after getting her BSc). Maybe I am losing something, but a BSc in Medicine is not followed by an MBA, unless the student has gained significant experience on the business field. Maybe Ukrainian schools are not following those guidelines. Or maybe she earned that experience while running her business in Nigeria (started in 2016, while in the Ukrainian university, studying to become a doctor). Or maybe pigs fly, who knows? Have a look at her profile on LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/in/sandra-ifeoluwa-bakare-/), and comment your thoughts.

Let's hope this post helps people not to lose money in another profound scam.
