SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! VENARI SPELLSMITH
Hello everyone, Lester here! It's time again for Splinterlands Share Your Battle Weekly Challenge! How's your recent battles?Good?Bad?Meh? While you're not sure yet on what is your next strategy, check out my entry to SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! VENARI SPELLSMITH.
For this post, let's review one of my battles using this card. Before going through the details, let check first this card's stat and lore.
Venari Spellsmith
Edition: CHAOS LEGION
Rarity: RARE
Element: NEUTRAL
Attack: MAGIC
Abilities: Dispel at Level 1, Amplify at Level 4, Redemption at Level 8
There are those who may think the Realm of Silence is a place of deep dark caverns. That could not be further from the truth. It is a region like any other in the Splinterlands that is full of homes, cities, and cultures. There are even universities that specialize in the study of magic, music, and geography. One such underground species that excels in academia are the Venari....(Venari Spellsmith Lore)
Battle Line Up
Here is my line up for this battle challenge. The rulesets are Reverse Speed and Even Stevens. So among my splinters, I know that in terms of speed, my earth is the slowest. So for the ruleset Reverse Speed, using Earth is quite advantageous. And good thing that I have magic attack monsters with even mana cost in my Earth deck.

My Summoner in this battle is Obsidian. My Earth deck was build to be a magic attack line up and also, Venari Spellsmith is a Magic Attack monster. So I think Obsidian is a perfect summoner for Venari Spellsmith.

My tank here is Xenith Monk. With 30 mana cost, I want to focus on spending my mana on magic attack monsters. Also Xenith Monk has Heal at level 3 and can be quite a tank at 4 mana cost only.

My monster in 2nd position is Goblin Psychic with its Tank Heal ability. A tank with Heal ability and a support card with Tank Heal ability is quite good in a line up.

Queen Myclia is my card in 3rd position. Its role is to provide durability from physical attacks to all allied monsters using its Protect ability.

So I sacrifice my Unicorn Mustang as my tank in order to add one more magic attack monster in my line up and that is Khmer Princess. Even though it has no ability at level 2, its magic attack will still be buffed by Obsidian.

The star of this battle is Venari Spellsmith. Its role is to provide more fire power using its buffed magic attack. Also, if ever the enemy has positive status effects on them, Venari Spellsmith will neutralize it.

My card in last position is Magi of Chaos to provide additional damage to the enemy.
The Battle

In this battle, I think the opponent did not notice the ruleset or maybe this is a bot because the opponent used Kelya Frendul that gives +1 speed to all allied monsters.
So the battle started with Obsidian giving +1 Magic Attack to all allied monsters.
Venari Spellsmith was able to end Diemonshark's career in this battle by hitting it a 2-magic attack damage. Honestly, I thought that dispel also works buffed given by summoner by in this battle it seems like its not the case. Or is it just the enemy died immediately after taking the hit so it looked like Dispel didn't work?
With the enemy at a disadvantage before the start of the battle, I easily won the game.

Did your strategy work? Yes, my strategy worked. Venari Spellsmith's buffed magic damage contributed a lot in this battle and helped my line up won easily. However, I didn't get the action that I wanted from Venari Wavesmith, well maybe because there a few cards in Bronze League that provide positive status effect to allied monsters.
What will you try differently next time? Since Venari Spellsmith is a Neutral Card, there are a lot of possible combinations that you can use Venari Spellsmith with. Its Amplify increases Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns damage to all enemy monsters by 1. And the sweet part is there are a lot of cards with these abilities from different Splinters and Venari Spellmith can work with them! Also, I would love to see the Dispel in action so I might climb to a higher league to see that.
