Playing in Warfare mode has brought a whole new feeling to this game using the Anomaly mod. Usually the game you would do missions, which gets pretty repetitive to me. Using Warfare mode you take over capture points and regions and stop other factions from doing the same.
I dont know whats up with Monolith but they seem to be quite overpowered. I played as the military and took over most of the map. And then Monolith started entering the map from the East. I was seeing them showing up in small groups on the boarder, I fled back to one of my main bases I captured.
Around the time I got back to the base a blowout started. This is like a massive thunderstorm but on a while other level and will kill you in the game if you get stuck outside during the blowout. Well seems Monolith didnt want to be caught outside.
Well ill be damned if I let the religious cult, hostile to all but their own share my base while a blowout is occurring. So I stood my ground and took them out as they attempted to enter the base where they would be protected from the blowout.
They eventually breached the entry to the building, I had to retreat but I regained my composure and killed them as they entered. Every minute, more were trying to enter the base. I took cover right inside the door way, and spent hundreds of rounds repelling them.
Some of them dropped some nice assault rifles, so I grabbed them and continued to kill more Monolith. Throughout the entire blowout, they just kept showing up.
Even as the blowout slowed down, the enemy faction tried to keep getting into the compound, luckily there is only one way in. So they were completely funneled into my kill zone.
After it all ended, I counted over thirty Monolith killed during the blowout. That was intense, but I won and they lost.. at least for the moment.
