When I bought this camera, there was no mention of one of the function wheels slipping. I almost contacted the seller to complain but decided to just try to fix it instead. Luckily there are many howto videos on the internet showing the repair process of a camera function wheel.
It was pretty straight forward by watching the videos. Pinch the rubber wheel and pull it up to one side. And using a toothpick with a tiny dab of superglue place it on the function wheel between the rubber.
I set up my work bench along with my superglue and toothpick and went to work. It was pretty much as the instructional videos explained. Using a small dab of superglue I placed it on the pulled back wheel. Waited a few seconds and then turned the wheel 180 degrees, and repeat with another small dab of superglue. That way its held in place with more than one dab of superglue. I let it all dry for 24 hours and came back to test the wheel. Now its good as new, or at least as good as my modded GH3.
Next up for repair is the loose screen. Though I must take out a dozen or so screws and be careful with a ribbon cable. But I do plan on trying the screen repair as well. Then it would seem the camera is all good to go and saved about a hundred dollars getting it for cheap on Ebay. I guess thats why it was cheap, luckily I think I can fix it.
