Setting up base defenses and then running back to safety was alot of work. Though I made it back to cover and switched to the heavy weapons. Not sure what its called, its a big laser thats all I know and it blows enemies across the map. Though its harder to hit an enemy that I planned and missed most of the shots.
I got my medkit and got back to defending the base. Though using the scoped rifle that I tend to prefer. Most of the defense guns were getting hit hard and over time were going to fail. Though my shots from a far took them out before they could damage the near by defense guns.
In the final waves the enemies brought vehicles long like light attack ground craft such as the ghost. The nice thing about Reach is you usually have allies near by helping out. In previous Halo games I played it was mostly solo play unless I was playing co-op with a friend.
We eventually hold off the base though OBS crashes and had to wait till the end of the and save to alt-tab out and start recording again. Sometimes the recording crashes and I have to restart it later on, but requiring me to exit and some games really had to be minimized. Usually I have to exit the game and relaunch it to get the windows working again.
