I had a shower thought, can I steal the AC-130 gunship from the enemy base. Fly it back to my allies base, fill it up with my own troops. Take off and rain down hot steel on my enemies using their own aircraft. So I had to give it a try.

I take a fighter jet from my base, a Mig-29 I believe. Take out the AC-130 that just took off at the beginning of the game. And then go wait at the enemy base for it to respawn.

Ejecting from my fighter jet and landing by the spawn point I wait for the gunship to spawn. It takes a few minutes and I move into the gunners seat of the near by spawned AH-64. Though that is not what I am after. I had an idea in the shower and I must know if it works in the game.

Having some fun with the choppers cannon I wait and take out what I can reach. Once it spawns in front of me I make a run for the gunship. I jump in a gunners seat and then move position to the pilots seat. I take off, and meet little to no resistance. Everyone must be out on the battlefield.. haha

I fly it back to my base and attempt a shitty landing. Then go back and attempt another shitty landing facing sideways on the runway, amazing the gunship did not take damage. I almost get hit by two jets taking off but in the end they miss me. My bots board the gunship and we take off from my base.

I take them in a circling path around the enemies on the map. Takes them awhile but I do start seeing shots being fired from the gunship. It works! No confirmed kills, but I did see the cannons fired by the bots. I get bored of flying it and move into the gunners seat. Though the bots tend to fly it sloppily. I get at least one confirmed kill though half the time I am waiting for the gunship to pivot so I can aim at the ground and not have my gun view up at the sky.

Eventually the bot flys out of the map area and I start taking damage. Just before I die from the bot fleeing the battlefield I jump out. Maybe I need to stick to flying the gunship.
