Common amongst ETH NFT Marketplaces like Opensea, Attribute Analytics add a Percentage Based System behind each NFT minted in a Collection that tells you how many other Assets in that specific Collection share the same Traits. Made popular by Generative Profile Picture NFT Collections, these percentages for most are a proof of Rarity in their Asset.
As much as this has been a normal way of evaluating NFT assets on Opensea and other ETH platforms, sadly until NFTHive's recent addition this was not a way that WAX users could measure their NFTs. Thankfully independent WAX Devs had created specific rarity tools for Collections in the past, but with their lack of easily accessible tools this was very limited to the reach they had.
Why are these Stats so important?
To many, the ability to filter through a Generated Project of anywhere between 1,000 - 10,000 Assets by a commonly agreed upon scale is paramount. Generative Projects usually pool 50 - 200+ assets for their Generator to randomly assort the image from. A common psychology amongst consumers, is the desire to stand out among the rest. Why pay top dollar for something many others could easily acquire, no?
In comes Rarities and Leaderboards. Generally speaking, Generative and PFP projects in general will dictate a point scale for each trait depending upon how many times that trait appears in the Assets within the Collection. These points add up onto a Collection Leaderboard, from there you can see the "Rarest" of them all with a #1 of ???. The allure is that no one person paid more or less for the "Minting" or initial creation of the Asset.
Boiled down, folks just like to gamble on that "Holy Grail" and love to see the fruits of their labors.
NFTHive's Tweet showing their new Marketplace Feature
As of December 5th, NFTHive added the first Collections to their list of supported Projects, Complete with their own Attribute Analytics.
After a persistent effort from various members in the WAX Community, it surprisingly was not the leader in WAX Market Volume on the Blockchain -- i.e. AtomicHub. Not to throw shade at the platform, as they have been polishing their User Interface extensively over the past few months, but it is ultimately clear the Gaming Bias they show to their Market.
NFTHive may be the road less traveled for most average users, but it has consistently provided more accessible, and more affordable Tools for NFT creators and Collectors. Truly deserving of all the flowers to be given for the support of Small Creators, and those who request features for their Collections.
Current Projects being supported by Analytics include:
- Shnazzy's E-Girls
- BCBrawlers
- Rapper JRG's PFPs
- Lewdies (NSFW)
- Graffiti Kings' Bitcoin Kids
- Droppp Monsters
- DropBears
NFTHive updating their Analytics
Currently, the only requirements for Analytics Support to be added for your 1/1 or Generative Collection is that it meets the Attribute Standards and that you request the addition via their Discord or Telegram. These standards really just mean you have to have a series of commonly found traits amongst the Assets to pull a Percentage pool from.
NFTHive seems to be tackling this lack of PFP tools on WAX head on, with constant updates pouring forth from their official Twitter. Their next piece to the puzzle up next is the ability to filter your Inventory for only PFP based Collections supported by their Tools.
