Build for technological upgradability
Tezos is build to last: Tezos is build for swift evolution through it's on-chain governance model. Currently the seventh upgrade is underway. Among other things, this upgrade will improve the cost of transactions even more, making more complex smartcontracts possible. More about the current upgrade here.
The following upgrade will add privacy to the network. Testnet for this upgrade has been running for several weeks now.
Increase in on-chain activity
Tezos is showing an enormous increase in on-chain activity lately. In August, an average of 225 smartcontract deployments were made per day. Compared to the previous average, which was 31 deployments per day, this shows enormous increase in activity. The growth was noticeable in smartcontract related transactions (Contract calls). The amount of contract calls showed an increase of 807% in August. Today, while we're in the end of September, we see that we already topped the amount of contract calls from August. This is an obvious indicator for sustainable growth. This growth is also noticeable in the amount of gas that is consumed: this months gas usage is doubled compared to last month.
