On May 8, 1943, the units of the Soviet partisans from the "Stalin" brigade, along with Jewish partisans from the "Otriad Bielski" unit, murdered 128 Poles living in the village of Naliboki.

An eyewitness account will best tell about that crime.
A resident of the village - Wacław Nowicki - described it as follows:
"5 o'clock in the morning. A long series of machine guns destroyed the front wall of our house. Mama ran to the window - The village is burning! - she shouted. At 7 o'clock arrows and moans of the wounded died down. In less than 2 hours, 128 innocent people were killed. The murderers were bursting into the houses, and the series of machine guns were killing whole families. They robbed what they could, and the houses were set on fire. Many Poles, woken up by the shooting and the groans of their neighbors, ran out into the courtyards. They were shot together with the children at the walls of houses. The houses, together with the inhabitants, turned into ashes. After all - it was difficult to identify the remaining limb of children, parents and grandparents of the Karniewicz, Łojków, Chmara and many other families"

The Soviet and Jewish partisans sent a report after the massacre in which they informed that "they had destroyed the German self-defense point". Historians studying this issue came to the facts that in the village of Naliboki at the time of the massacre did not stayed any German.
