- This week, BTC price falls below $35,000 and ETH price falls below $2,500, over $1 billion worth of crypto has been liquidated

- Crypto-related job postings on LinkedIn grew 395% in 2021 in the US. (CoinDesk)

- South Korea has published a plan to become a world leader in the metaverse by 2026, including training 40,000 professionals and creating 220 companies specializing in this technology. (BTC PEERS)

- Coinbase has partnered with Mastercard to allow users to purchase NFTs by credit card on Coinbase's upcoming NFT platform. (The Block)

- Crypto.com allegedly hacked of at least $33 million. Cryto.com says all customers have been refunded.

- FTX is to launch its own Visa debit card to allow users to spend crypto, free of charge, at millions of merchants around the world.

- TIME Magazine now allows users to connect their crypto wallet.

- Twitter now allows iOS users to add NFT profile pictures. Facebook and Instagram will also allow their users to display NFTs on their profile.

- Opera is launching a beta version of its Web 3.0-centric crypto browser that makes it easier to browse decentralized apps, metaverses and blockchain games. (CoinDesk)

- Microsoft has announced that it has reached an agreement to buy video game publisher Activision Blizzard for $68.7 billion. (Decrypt)

- Google hires a senior PayPal executive to open up to cryptocurrency and in particular allow users to store it on digital cards. The president in charge of commerce at Google during an interview declared "Crypto is something that we pay a lot of attention to".(Bloomberg)

- Intel is expected to unveil a new chip specially designed for Bitcoin mining and more energy efficient. (CoinDesk)

- Russia's central bank said in a report that mining and the use of cryptocurrencies should be banned in the country, in particular due to risks to financial stability. (Reuters)

- The European regulator calls for a ban on mining based on Proof-of-Work because of "its environmental impact" and its "enormous energy costs".

- El Salvador has now on-boarded 4 million users to its Bitcoin Chivo wallet, over 60% of the country's population and El Salvador plans to offer low-interest bitcoin-backed loans to small businesses in the country. (Cointelegraph)
