Hi there fellow Cointipliers!

I'm usually not trying to complete any of the featured offers on Cointiply. Whatever the size of the reward is, taking the time to complete these offers is almost always not worth it - competing surveys slways pays better. Some offers require you to sign up for a service. Unless you were just about to sign up for Disney + there's virtually not incentive to complete such offers - spending $ for an inferior $ reward doesn't make sense. Among all these useless offers the eToro offer stands out. The reward is colossal and the drawback is pretty much inexistent. Is it to good to be true? I decided to find out for myself.

The eToro Offer

The deal is straightforward: install the eToro mobile app (Android only), deposit a minimum of $200 of the account, get 825,000 coins, new eToro users only. To put that in perspective, 825k coins is what I make in two good weeks (meaning ~15 hours of surveys), that's $82.5! The offer checked many boxes for me: I have an Android mobile phone, I never used eToro, and I'm buying a small amount of Bitcoin every month anyway. So why not using eToro to buy my monthly Bitcoin and cash $82 in the process?

For anyone buying crypto, and willing to buy at least $200 of crypto via eToro, this offer should be strongly considered given the Cointiply reward associated with this. Yes you need to put $200 down before anything to happen but these $200 are still there and you can/will get them back after everything is said and done. In theory, the plan seems easy and lucrative enough, with virtually no drawback for me.

The Risks

On paper, this offer seems like a no-brainer - it's a pure net positive for your bankroll. In practice, even if you do everything right and are not trying to "cheat" the system, the process and the end result can be disappointing.

What could go wrong with this eToro offer? Because it seemed almost to good to be true, I was ready to have trouble claiming my reward, or even receiving any of it. In the offer, it is stated that the reward will be paid under 24h, I was ready for a week.

Now, assuming I would be able to claim the 825k coins reward, I was anticipating having all sorts of trouble with my deposit. The exchange rate for bitcoin could be horrible. Fees to transfer my Bitcoin could be high, or eToro could simply not support transferring Bitcoin to external wallets. With funding coming from a bank account there's actually a 1-week wait time before being able to transfer your crypto out of eToro.

I also had a little doubt as I entered this offer, downloaded eToro, created an account, only to wait 2 weeks before making my deposit. Who knows? Maybe there was a fine print I didn't read that said I needed to make my deposit within 7 days of creating the account in order to get the reward.

Note that all of these issues could or should be researched before depositing your funds! Or you could simply read this article and realize that everything is fine. 😉

Offer Completed

I downloaded the eToro app and created an account mid-June. I funded my account early July, it turns out that was not a problem. I had to provide minimal KYC info, business as usual here. I deposited my funds directly via bank account, that was the easiest and fastest way to do it for me.

I bought some Bitcoin a couple hours later, that was easy enough. At that point the exchange rate seemed reasonable to me.

After that, two things needed to happen for this to be a great success. 1- receiving the Cointiply reward, 2- being to able to transfer my bitcoin to my own wallet. At that point I still had doubts on both of these things.

To my surprise, I got the reward almost right away! According to these timelines, less than 3 hours after my deposit was completed, 825,537 coins! Needless to say I never got that much coins at once on Cointiply account (I withdraw well before reaching this amount). As for goal #2, given my method of funding there is a 1 week wait period before being able to withdraw Bitcoin to an external wallet. I'm still waiting on that as I write this but I'm not worried about this. Note that you can use the desktop eToro client, that's what I did after my deposit and everything went fine, I still got the reward, so no need to stay on the mobile app.

[EDIT 07/16/2021] I was finally able to withdraw my Bitcoin to my own wallet. To do so, I needed to transfer my Bitcoin from the eToro app to the eToro Money Wallet, then transfer from the eToro wallet to my wallet. I needed an extra layer of NYC (I was waiting for it) and 48h. At the end of the day it cost me under $3 of fees to move everything. $3 that I would not have spent if I had used my regular exchange, but for a $82.5 gain of the flip side.

My next move, almost as a reflex to truly secure the gains, was to withdraw my coins from Cointiply (~$101 at this moment, my biggest withdraw). The withdraw went very smoothly, as usual, and less 24h hours later all these Satoshi were on my wallet. Success!

825k coins sure is a hell lot of coins. Icing on the cake, there were a few added bonuses that trickled down from earning such a large amount coins at once...

The Added Bonuses

825k coins, or $82.5, is for sure the main reward of this offer. But collecting 825,537 coins, and 82,554 Cointipoints, had several additional benefits for my Cointiply account and bankroll.

The Top of The Daily Leaderboard

The very top actually. The daily leaderboard ranks the top earners on Cointiply every day and there are cash prizes for the top 10 finishers. The prizes are relatively small (22.5k to 35k coins) compared to the amount of coins/Cointipoints needed to reach the top 10. To finish in the top spots you need at least something in the range of 200k-300k coins, or 20k-30k Cointipoints - in other words you need to complete a big offer.

The eToro offer is the biggest on Cointiply at this time, so with 825k coins put me right at the first spot!

You can also see that 2nd and 3rd spot are occupied by 2 users who also completed the eToro offer that day. The additional coins I earned from surveys were enough to secure 1st place and go home with another 35,000 coins. 35k coins for free? I take it!

Boost Items

As any other offer, the eToro offer can be boosted by equippable and consumable items. Given the size of the eToro reward, +30% really is a big amount to add. Unfortunately I couldn't benefit from consumable item boost. I didn't really know when the reward will end up on my Cointiply account (it could have taken up to 24h base on the offer notice) so I decided not to use consumable items. If you read this and proceed to the eToro offer, now you know that the reward comes within hours, plan accordingly and use your best items!

Still, I benefited from the +12% of my equippable items for a very comfortable +99k coins! This bonus alone is way more than what I made in my most "regular" days. I finished that day with 104k coins of boost earnings and I don't think I will ever match this.

Infinite Pods!

825k coins earned is also 82,500 Cointipoints earned, which means a lot of pods to open. I had really not thought about that one until I realized I had so many Cointipoints available on my Cointivity profile.

These days I'm only buying Uncommon Pods. Overall I think that's the best way to get the more items, for reasonable amount of Cointipoints and with decent chances to get a rare item, e.g. finding a Ret Scan (the only +4% equippable item).

At 5,000 Cointipoins per pod, that means I opened a 16 pods, for 48 new items! If you are not familiar with Conitivity, Pods and Boost Items you can check my article on the topic. If you are familiar with boost items, then you know that's a lot of earning boost in perspective, which will in turn earn me more coins.

If I wanted to put a coins value on all these pods, here is my quick & dirty calculation. On average you can get +5% worth of consumable items, I would use these when earning ~30k coins on average, for an estimated boost of ~1.5k coins then. With these 16 pods, I'll roughly make 24k additional coins.

Quick Level Up

This had no monetary value but completing this big offer made me gain a full level on the spot (I'm now level 87) and climb ~20 positions in the All-Time Leaderboard. I'm now 117th. This really is just for entertainment purposes.

All Included

If I piece everything together, the eToro offer brought me 825k coins on the spot + 35k coins from the daily leaderboard + 99k coins of earning boost +24k future coins from the pods, for a grand total of 983k coins.

This number could have been even bigger with consumable items. In the end, attempting and completing this offer was WELL worth it and I would recommend it to anyone. There's very little risk involved and the financial reward is very spectacular in the end.
