To Be Home

The paradise that you keep
In the silence within yourself.
Long have I clamored
to bathe in your silence,
To be the voice of your thoughts,
The wings of your laughter,
The vessel of your emotions,
The heart of your mind,
And to be the mind of your heart.

Long have I waited
to plunge myself into the depths of your mystery,
To be the echoes of your love and affection,
The tears that cleanse your heart and soul,
The notes of your solemn lullaby,
The rhythm of your heartbeat, and
The blood that streams through your being!

Eternally, I have desired
To dance with your soul,
To see the universe in your eyes, and
The vastness of nothingness in your stares,
To hear piercing silence in your solitude,
To feel the heavens in your touch,
To taste the strength in your fragility,
And to smell the aroma of your sweetness!

Long have I dreamed to dream with you,
Within your arms held close to your heart;
Long have I dreamed to hear you, beating against my ears,
Waking my soul's slumber as the babe in me is snuggled closest to your bosom, heart being warmed
By the smell of your skin, the smell of your love,
The warmth of your welcome, the firmness of your touch, the calmness of your smile, the assurance of your lovely gaze...

Long have I wished...
To be home!
